Goals for the Position

I have been a SUNA member for over a decade and I appreciate the networking and educational experiences that have enriched my nursing career. It is an honor for me to be considered as a candidate for the position of Director-at-Large. I appreciate the opportunity to serve our membership. This is a time of dynamic change. SUNA and other professional organizations struggle to engage members and remain relevant to our chosen profession. As Director-at-Large, I would make every effort to keep an open mind for any ideas that would enrich SUNA as a professional organization. I would strive to have geographically spread and struggling chapters “go virtual” with assistance from our national Board. Advocate for students and urology technologist both in the civilian and military sectors, which could be done by reaching out to the various schools and educational programs. In addition, I would encourage closer educational opportunities and collaboration between physical therapists and WOCN nurses by advertising their events on our website and working for discounts at local professional events. As Director-at-Large, I also would make myself available to assist members as a liaison to the Board of Directors. I appreciate your consideration.
