SUNA chapters may apply an accredited approver to obtain contact hours. Twenty-four states have American Nurses Credenting Center (ANCC) accredited approver units via the state nurses association or other organization. Fees vary by state; for example, see table below:

Alternatively, if a SUNA chapter member's employer has a provider unit, they could jointly provide an education activity with the chapter. This may involve a fee, which would only happen if the provider unit has a billing mechanism. Facilities may do this without a fee just because their employee is involved.
