Applying to Take the Exam

Once your application is reviewed, you will be contacted regarding your eligibility status and be provided with next steps, including instructions on how to schedule your exam if applicable.  All exams will be fully remote allowing for ease of scheduling and accessibility.

Certified Urology Nurse Practitioner (CUNP)

Retake Fee

Should a candidate fail to succeed on the initial examination, the candidate has 12 months in which to retake the examination at a reduced fee. If the candidate is not successful on the second examination, the candidate is considered to have failed. Thereafter, if the candidate wishes to repeat the examination, the total fee must be paid.

Period of Certification

Certification will be valid for 3 years and renewal is available either by retaking the written exam or submitting a minimum of 36 urologic-specific continuing education contact hours. The hours must be earned in the last 3 years and must be specific to urology. All certifications will expire as of December 31 (common expiration date) of the year you are due to recertify.
