Let’s face it! Life can be heavy. We all have experienced or are experiencing a time in our life when we felt like an orange in a juicer. And like that orange, pressed until it felt like another drop of juice could not be extracted. In this session, we explore ways to find a zest for life even when faced with the less than a-peeling pressures of life. We define tactical and practical applications that we can start today on our journey to a sweeter life.

This session discusses multidisciplinary care strategies for bladder and pelvic pain using the example of a longstanding interdisciplinary IC/BPS clinic. The clinic model, trauma-informed care approaches, psychology integration, and case material are reviewed. Lastly, administrative information is presented for those seeking to replicate these services.

After completing this learning activity, the participant will be able to identify opportunities for multidisciplinary care with IC/BPS patients and enhance trauma-informed screening and assessment practices for IC/BPS during clinic visits.
