SUNA joins other nursing organizations in providing comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding CMS-1612-P: Medicare Program; Revisions to Payment Policies Under the Physician Fee Schedule, Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule, Access to Identifiable Data for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation Models & Other Revisions to Part B for CY 2015 (79 Fed.Reg. 40318, July 11, 2014).

SUNA Announces Election Results

The results of SUNA's 2014-2015 elections have been finalized. Vanessa Spears, RN, BSN, MHA, CURN, was elected to serve as SUNA President-Elect, and Fran Foley, RN, MSA, CURN, was elected as National Treasurer. On the regional level, Kristine Green, MS, CURN, was re-elected for a second term as Northeast Regional Director, and Peggy Hayes, RN, BS, CURN, was named to a second term as Western Regional Director. These individuals will serve on SUNA's 2014-2015 National Board of Directors.

IUGA Releases Position Statement on Use of Mid-Urethral Slings for Stress Urinary Incontinence

The International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) has released a Position Statement on the use of mid-urethral slings for stress urinary incontinence, which is the type of urinary leakage associated with physical exertion and coughing, laughing, exercise.
