Call for Abstract Presentations SUNA uroLogic Conference

Individuals interested in submitting abstract(s) for non-research session presentations addressing topics related to urological patient care are invited to submit abstracts for the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA) uroLogic Conference.

Submission guidelines: Please read and follow the submission guidelines carefully. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be reviewed.

Abstract is limited to 300 words, excluding the title. The abstract should contain a title and current references/evidence (less than 3 years old) used to develop presentation.

Selection Process: Abstracts will be evaluated with a blind review that rates the abstract on the following criteria:

  • Quality of the content
  • Significance for theory or practice/EBP
  • Originality and level of innovativeness
  • Thematic relevance to SUNA members
  • Quality of presentation
  • Overall recommendation of reviewer

Each submission will be evaluated by the Program Planning Committee to determine the final selection for the conference program.

Submission deadline: Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday, May 4, 2026 for the 2026 uroLogic Conference.

This symposium provides a comprehensive review of overactive bladder (OAB) and highlights its prevalence, clinical burden, diagnostic considerations, and current management strategies. Speakers will discuss evidence-based approaches outlined in the latest AUA/SUFU guidelines, including behavioral therapies, pharmacologic options, and minimally invasive interventions.

The session also explores OAB symptoms in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the frequent overlap of storage and voiding symptoms, and the need for integrated management.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations in writing before January 3, 2026, will incur a $75 administrative fee; the balance will be refunded to the original form of payment.
No refunds will be issued after January 3, 2026. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
SUNA reserves the right to cancel programs due to emergencies, labor strikes, pandemics, Force Majeure, or insufficient registration/sponsorship.

No Show Policy

If you do not cancel in writing prior to the conference and do not attend, no refund will be granted.

Registrant Communications

Receipts, notifications, and updates from SUNA are communicated via email. Please add suna@suna.org to your contacts to ensure you receive all important communications.

Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD)

SUNA's uroLogic Conference offers at least 10 NCPD contact hours. Additional hours can be purchased after the conference.
Credits are earned only after completing evaluations. Attendees have ~6 weeks post-conference to complete evaluations. SUNA is accredited by the ANCC-COA and approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 5556.

On-Demand Conference Sessions & Online Library

On-demand sessions may be available for additional contact hour credit via the SUNA Online Library.
Benefits include unlimited access to recorded sessions, virtually attending missed courses, and downloading session handouts. Approved recordings are available ~2 weeks after the conference.

Conference Attire

Business casual. Layered clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Volunteer as a Session Moderator

Assist with speaker support, introduce speakers, manage A/V setup, and keep sessions on time.
